WWCR Begins Broadcasting on 3.230 MHz

On November 1st, 2009, WWCR will begin operating on a new frequency. Transmitter #1 will begin daily operation on 3.230 MHz from 5pm Central until 8pm Central, 2300-0200 UTC.

November 1st, 2009 begins the B09 frequency schedule. This seasonal adjustment presented the perfect opportunity to insert 3.230 MHz in the early evening hours. 3.230 MHz will not replace any existing WWCR frequency, but will compliment the usage of 7.465 MHz and 3.215 MHZ on transmitter #1.

3.230 MHz was the very first frequency to have been tested by a new program in use by the Federal Communications Commission to help ensure the absence of collisions with any other station or agency.

WWCR is pleased to begin operation on 3.230 MHz. Be sure to tune us in on this new frequency!
